A Letter from Mom
My Dear Grandchildren
Psalm 139:16 (NLT)
You saw me before I was born
Every day of my life was recorded in your book
Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed
God has decided that now is the time for
me to go and be with Him. The days recorded in His book have come to and
end for me on earth and I know God’s plan is perfect. Some people will
tell you that cancer won. Or that I lost my battle with cancer but that
is simply not true. My assignment is complete. I have finished all the
days for my life that he recorded in His book. God is the only one who
holds life in His hands.
Although I would love to be here to watch
you grow up and get married and have children of your own. I would love
to plant flowers and vegetables in the spring with you and dig wormers
and go on walks but God has other plans. I know for sure that God loves
us all and has sent His Son Jesus so that we can all be in heaven
together with Him some day.
So, I will go ahead and wait for you.
My old body is like a glove. When a hand
goes into a glove it gives it life and it can move and do things. When
the hand comes out of the glove, the glove is empty and can’t do
anything on its own. That is like my body. When my spirit was in it, I
could run and play and bake and do all the things we loved to do but my
body got sick and God decided to take me to heaven. I’m still alive but
my body is old and doesn’t work without me in it.
Remember always that your Grandma loves
you very much. I’ll ask God if I can help get things ready in heaven for
the day when we can all be together again. You are some of God’s most
precious gifts to me. Take care of Grandpa for me.
I’ll see you soon!!!
With hugs and kisses,
Grandma
Mom was so grieved by the thought that the grandkids would not remember her. We will not let that happen Mom. We love and miss you greatly. You ran a very good race and I could not be prouder of you
